Meet Our Staff
PPRSC is excited to welcome our valued Piranhas parents who graciously volunteer their time for the good of the team as a whole! It takes a village and these parents embody that sentiment.
If you would like to reach any swim team staff member, please email [email protected]. We would love to hear from you!
My family recently moved from Southeast Michigan and my 4 older children loved their first year on the PPRSC Swim Team. Originally from Henderson, NV, I spent my youth poolside, swimming competitively, life guarding or teaching swimming lessons. I love the water! We reside in the Berkeley neighborhood and I spend my days caring for my 5 children: Kaylie (15), Amber (13), James (10), Oliver (7), Addison (2.5) but do have a CPA license which I use on occasion.
I am excited to serve as the Assistant Swim Team Representative. Our family has been proud members of the swim team for the past 5 years. Growing up, I spent my summers at the pool participating in summer swim and later working as a lifeguard throughout high school and college. Now, I love cheering on my daughter, Avery, as she swims for PPRSC and competes in club swimming year-round. When I am not at the pool, you can usually find me watching my son, Austin, play basketball. Professionally, I work for CMS as an occupational therapist.
This will be the Self family’s fourth year as PPRSC Piranhas! Levi (11) and Luke (9) also swim year round for Team Charlotte. Rachel and Hannah (5) are excited to be a part of the team for the first time this summer! Alexis is a Charlotte native who graduated from South Meck HS and grew up participating in summer swim league. She is happy to serve the Piranhas swim team as volunteer coordinator, and is also actively involved in PPRSC tennis, captaining several teams each year.
I'm thrilled to continue as the Piranhas swim team social representative this year, making my third year in this role. Our family has proudly been Piranhas for the past four years. Originally from Canada, we relocated to Charlotte in Dec 2022. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom to my three kids—Avery (10), Abby (8), and Ivan (6). Can’t wait for an exciting 2026 swim season - go Piranhas!
I’m excited to serve as one of our swim team’s social representatives again this season! Our family moved to the neighborhood three years ago after relocating from South Africa, and we’ve been so grateful to become part of such an amazing community and swim team. We have two daughters, Harlee (6) and Josslyn (8), who attend Socrates Academy and love being Piranhas. I work in finance, and in my spare time I enjoy travel, family time, spending time outdoors, and reading. Looking forward to a fun and successful season!!
