Piranha Staff

Providence Plantation Swim and Racquet Club is the home of the PPRSC Piranhas. The Piranhas are run by parent volunteers and a dedicated coaching staff. We also employ certified lifeguards, under the direction of Aquatech Pool Management Company.

Our Coaching Staff is comprised of one Head Coach and several Assistant Coaches.

The Parent Volunteers are a large group of swim parents dedicated to serving the needs of the team. Some of the positions are:

  • The Swim Team Representatives (2) are responsible for managing and coordinating all activities for the swim season.  The Swim Team Rep position is a two-year term: one year to learn the ropes followed by a tenured year.
  • The Volunteer Lead coordinates parent volunteers and ensures those volunteers know where to go, what to do, how to do it, and understand expectations of their assigned volunteer role.
  • The Communications Lead creates and disseminates all communications with swim parents, coordinating with PPRSC Secretary as needed.
  • The Parent Liaison keeps eyes and ears open for parent sentiment to ensure the Swim Committee is creating an open, transparent, and collaborative swim community experience.
  • The Social Liaison works with the PPRSC Social Chair(s) to coordinate kick-off cook-out, end of year banquet and awards event, and other social swim events throughout the season with the intention of creating camaraderie and team spirit.
  • Parent Volunteers do everything from serve food at the concession stand, time swimmers, and help in the parking lot.
