PRACTICES

Our swim season will run from mid-May until approximately July 1st.  While school is still in session, we hold after-school practices Monday through Friday.

After the school year ends, we transition to a morning practice schedule.    

We DO have practices on the days of swim meets and the day after a swim meet.

SWIM MEETS

The summer swim meet season is condensed into 3-4 weeks, with meets almost every Monday and Thursday. Factors affecting the length of a swim meet include weather conditions, swimmers being "stacked" and waiting to swim their events, and volunteer participation. Without volunteers, the meet cannot go on. 

OTHER EVENTS

Swimsuit Fitting (March 29th) - Carolina Swim Shop will conduct fittings and take suit orders at PPRSC Clubhouse from 2-4 pm. Swimmers may go to Carolina Swim Shop directly if unable to attend this appointment.

Swim Parent 101 Workshop (May 7th at 7:00 PM via Zoom) - Whether you are a seasoned pro or brand new to the swim team scene, we encourage you attend this interactive workshop to meet the staff, learn the ins and outs, the terminology, how to read a heat sheet, and everything to expect as a swim parent.

Swim Clinic (May 17th) - To give your swimmer an extra boost before season kick-off, we will offer a swim clinic with focused and targeted training. Spots are limited and available for an additional fee. Swim Clinics at PPRSC are optional. We'll celebrate right afterwards with the Kick-Off party with food and fun!

Swim Season Kick-Off Party (May 17th at 3:00 PM) - Being a PPRSC Piranha is more than learning swim techniques. It's about activating your best self, being an encouraging teammate, and having fun! We will kick-off the swim season with a high energy social to encourage camaraderie. The swim team staff and coaches will host with hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream, music, and more! 

Season-End Banquet/Awards (June 28th) - We will have an end-of-season event to celebrate our amazing coaches, swimmers, and families who supported a successful swim season!

All Star Meet (June 27th) - Top swimmers from the season will compete in a final meet to wrap up the summer league.

Summer swim leagues are fun!  We hope to foster a strong team environment.  While we know everyone has different vacation schedules, as well as other commitments, we hope you will be able to attend as many practices, meets, and social events as possible. 

It is not necessary to alert your coach if you are going to miss a scheduled practice.  However, if you cannot attend a meet (or will arrive late/leave early), we ask that you submit this information.

Families are expected to fulfill their Volunteer Commitment.
